How Indian Scammers Scammed Joe Biden, the President of America, for Money and Gift Cards Worth $4000

This is a true story. The events depicted took place over a few phone calls between Rohini, New Delhi and White House, USA in 2021. At the request of the scammers, their names have been changed. Out of respect for the Americans and Joe Biden, the rest has been told exactly as it occurred.

Section 1: Joe Biden, the victim of popup scam:

It’s 2:30 AM in India, and although the roads in Delhi aren’t covered with snow like they do in Minnesota, it’s freezing cold. Five IT professionals are sitting on their desks in the basement of a sweetmeat shop in Rohini. They work for Microsoft. Oh well! They don’t. They do claim that they work for Microsoft, but the truth is even Infosys didn’t hire them — and Infosys hires everyone — and hence are jobless.

Not jobless.

They have formed their own company. It’s called ProtacctingU4mViruss (I think it’s a domain name issue, for almost 50% of Indian IT professionals either work for companies that are trying to “protacct” you from “virusses”, or own those companies). Wrapped in…
